AAUW Tampa and Sun City Center Chapters Host Half-Day Women Empowerment Conference
(YorkPedia Editorial):- Tampa, Florida Feb 23, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – On Saturday, April 1, American Association of University Women(AAUW) Tampa and Sun City Center branches are presenting the B.E.S.T.-X, Better Empowered Self Training Experience, and Expo at the USF Marshall Center, Oval Theatre Room located at 4103 Cedar Circle, Tampa. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy an empowering and uplifting session on April 1st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., box lunch included.
The mission of AAUW is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. Our goal with the B.E.S.T.-X Women’s Empowerment Conference is to bring more than 100 women in the Tampa Bay Area together for professional development with a motivational speaker, networking, and panel discussions on how to navigate transitions such as leaving or reentering the workplace, going back to school, making career changes or entering retirement. All will be inspired by our motivational speaker, Dr. Kimberly-Ventus Darks, a motivational mogul that will bring us “The Dr. Kim Experience.” The day will also include salary negotiation information, business networking opportunity, and vendor booths as well as a takeaway souvenir booklet featuring local women-owned businesses. In addition, there will be basic health screenings, which bring awareness of the importance of women’s health.
